If only I’d known these things 50 years ago when I began teaching. Evidently at the Waldorf schools, children are taught to knit before they’re taught to read.

Have any of you had experience with this? It makes sense to me, but I’ve never seen it in action. I learned to read at age 5, then learned to knit at age 8.
